Classes, Calendars, and More!

Starting Sunday, August 9th, we’ll be teaching Beginner Tango at 6pm, and Intermediate Tango at 7pm.  No experience is necessary.  Classes will automatically adjust to the overall skill level of class attendees.  


The session will start on Sunday, August 9th and run for THREE weeks until Sunday, August 23rd.  

  • Sunday 6:00-7:00 PM: Beginner Tango
  • Sunday 7:00-8:00 PM: Intermediate Tango

Following that, starting Sunday, September 13th, we’ll be teaching Beginner Swing at 6pm, and Intermediate Swing at 7pm.  No experience is necessary.  Classes will automatically adjust to the overall skill level of class attendees.  


The session will start on Sunday, September 13th and run for THREE weeks until Sunday, September 27th.  

  • Sunday 6:00-7:00 PM: Beginner Swing
  • Sunday 7:00-8:00 PM: Intermediate Swing

Everyone is welcome! No previous dance experience is required, nor is a fixed dance partner. 

Classes are held at the St. Thomas’ Episcopal Parish: 276 S College Ave, Newark, DE 19711 (across the street from Student Health Services). Parking is available.

The registration fee for a whole three-week class is $30, or $15 for students (per person).   We accept cash, check, and Venmo.

BONUS: Sign up for two consecutive 3-week sessions and get $5 off! That’s $55 for six weeks ($25 for students)!

As noted on our calendar, we have workshops on Tuesdays.  Cost is $10 per person for a 1-week workshop; $20 for a 2-week workshop. But wait! There’s more!

Beginning August 3rd, classes at Cecil College will resume, starting with FoxTrot and Rumba, running for 6 weeks with David and Lisa!

And on August 5th, there is the return of Lisa’s Intro to Social Dance!

Cha Cha Classes Starting Sunday, October 12!

Starting Sunday, October 12th, we’ll be teaching Beginner Cha Cha at 6pm, and Intermediate Cha Cha at 7pm.  No experience is necessary.  Classes will automatically adjust to the overall skill level of class attendees.  


The session will start on Sunday, October 12th and run for FOUR weeks until Sunday, November 12th.  

  • Sunday 6:00-7:00 PM: Beginner Cha Cha with David and Emilia
  • Sunday 7:00-8:00 PM: Intermediate Cha Cha with David and Emilia

Everyone is welcome! No previous dance experience is required, nor is a fixed dance partner.

Hustle Workshop and Rumba Classes in July!

We will have a 2-week Hustle workshop on Sunday, July 13th and Sunday, July  20th.  The cost for both weeks is $20 per person, $10 student rate.  Class is 6PM to 7PM, possible practice time after.

And then…

Starting Sunday, July 27th, we’ll be teaching Beginner Rumba at 6pm, and Intermediate Rumba at 7pm.  No experience is necessary.  Classes will automatically adjust to the overall skill level of class attendees.  

Note that we are changing our class schedule format!  Instead of a six-week session with two dances, we will do a four-week session of one dance, with the last class being primarily a review and practice night (and maybe one extra move!).  This is largely (1) to accommodate people who can’t commit to a six-week class due to work, travel, and so on, and (2) to allow for more workshop classes between sessions (such as a 1-week, 90-minute class on Bachata, Bolero, Samba, etc).
